Out of Surgery

Justin is now out of surgery.  Everything went as planned and he is expected to be out of the recovery room in about 90 minutes.  He may be discharged from the hospital as early as Saturday.  He'll most likely be moving in with our family until he is able to get around on his own.  He will be unable to put any weight on his leg for about six weeks.  The surgeon tells us that Justin should be able to go back to normal activity in nine months to a year. Let the healing process begin!

  2. Praise the Lord Justin!! We are so thankful that everything went so well!! I know the recovery will go well and make sure you do all the therapy they require! That will make the difference in how well you get back to normal. I have had both hips replaced and I can do anything I want, but I took the therapy very serious and it pays off. We will keep you in our prayers!! Love ya Jeanee and Al

  4. JR, you did awesome!!! Of course, after spending all that time stuck in a hospital room with your dad, major sugary is a piece of cake!! It's awesome that B. and Monica are opening their home to you. You will probably fit in just like a "fourth" kid for Monica to tend to! We will keep praying for rapid recovery for you! So thankful that Addison's prayers worked and you didn't encounter anymore cars in the OR :) Keep your chin up. You'll be good as new in no time! (well, as good as an old thirty year old can be anyway!)

  9. Hey Justin,
Praise God this part of the ordeal is over....a big hurdle and another step closer to full recovery. Couldn't believe when Lynda said you will be standing up in a day or two. I know you are still in a lot of pain. Praying for strength for you to get through the days ahead. We love you and will continue to pray. Aunt Donna & Uncle Wes

Justin, we have not met, but I knew your parents, before they were married. Please greet them for me. Since we first heard about your accident, we have been praying for you. Hang in there, for a few more weeks.... it WILL get better, and you will be as good as new. So thankful that you are still alive and alert!!!
