They have finally moved Justin to a regular room!! The hustle and bustle of the ER and the tiny cramped room are no more. This also means that Justin's leg can be put in traction, so pray for him. Brandon and his parents are with him and Brandon says that Justin isn't talking much and is focusing his attention on handling the pain. Pray for him!
Supposedly Julius Caesar said, "It is easier to find men who will volunteer to die, than to find those who are willing to endure pain with patience." Praying for you as you endure the pain. You don't even have to be patient about it.
ReplyDeleteWhat is the address where we can send some flowers? This is Derek Anderson, a friend of Justin and Brandon's family from Douglasville.
ReplyDeleteJustin, Nathan and I are praying for you. Know that you are in good hands at UVA and only the best are looking after you.
ReplyDeleteLots of Love,

Justin,
ReplyDeleteYou are in my thoughts and prayers and I know that you are going to pull through all of this. I pray that God gives you the peace to be able to get through the pain and be able to heal quickly. If you need anything at all, please please don't hesitate to ask because I am here for you if you need it. Kick back, relax and allow God to guide the doctors and nurses so you are back up and around in no time at all.

Hello, My name is Tom Mills and I learned of Justin's accident from the cycling community in Lynchburg. I suffered what sounds like the exact same injury in a bike crash on Nov. 8th of last year (drove Femur though hip shattering socket into 6 peices and 2 pelvic fractures). I had traction to keep the femur away from the broken socket and 9 hours of surgery to rebuild my hip. I am writing to let you know that I have had wonderful results from my recovery and to offer any observations and encouragement I can rearding the surgery and road to follow. Please feel free to call my Cell anytime if you have any questions at all. (434-942-7402. ) We will keep Justin in our thoughts and prayers.
